Allison Benson, 10 years old, is learning a respect for money, how to budget, how to pay bills, and how to save! ECF DEDICATES NEW BUILDING

Feb 5th, 2009 by webmaster | 0

[From "The Current" - Feb. 2009 - get it here]
What a wonderful blessing God has given us… 14,000 square feet of building for ministry on 8.27 acres.. 3 warehouses of 10,000 square feet each… businesses and individuals that pay us rent each month…and all at a very reasonable price.  We are still making some renovations, but our beautiful building was in move-in condition.  And move in we did in late September. From our initial offer to buy the property, till the day of closing, took only weeks, another miracle!  Not only did we hold our first service on Sunday, October 9th, 2009, but James and Dianne Ware (see story) were married in that service. continue reading » »

Prayer: Let Your Words Be Few

Mar 3rd, 2007 by Pastor Kevin | 1

Luke 10:38-42 38 Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” NASU

I. Fall in Love with the One You’re Praying To

Martha’s heart was more captivated by ministry, service, doing, and works than she was by the Person of Jesus Christ. Her heart was absolutely captivated by these things. Now, don’t get me wrong, feeding Jesus and 12 other fellas’ bellies was quite a chore and a sacrifice…but Jesus makes it clear in this passage that she had missed the mark…and that Mary was actually the one who got it right…Mary’s heart was captivated by the Person of Jesus Christ more than serving Jesus Christ. continue reading » »

The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same…

Mar 1st, 2007 by ChrisJ | 0

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

Change is inevitable. Day changes to night, children change to adults, winter changes to mud season (and quickly back to winter). And the elimChristianFellowship.net website has changed it’s look… again! continue reading » »

Shedding the Holiday pounds

Dec 31st, 2006 by ChrisJ | 0

While some of us tentatively climb on the scales to see of the results of Thanksgiving pies and Christmas cookies, many Americans have gained another type of weight that the bathroom scales can’t measure. It’s doesn’t show on our mid-rifts or thighs, but it’s effect on our health and relationships can be far more damaging – it’s the weight of the chains of bondage called financial debt.

Proverbs 22:7, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave of the lender” (NRSV)

The Power of Prayer!!!

Nov 28th, 2006 by Pastor Kevin | 1

I was greatly encouraged this past Saturday by God’s faithfulness to respond to intercession by His kids. This past Saturday (Nov 25th, 2006), in Augusta, Maine, there was a Holistic Mystic Fair event held in the Holiday Inn conference rooms. Various “vendors” purchased tables from Enchanted Dragon business owner, Mary Alderman, to display their wares and entice the Kennebec Valley to consult mediums, spiritists, alternative healers, sorcerers, witches and the like. continue reading » »

What is a cell group? What is cell ministry? Why use the word “cell”?

Oct 24th, 2006 by Pastor Kevin | 0

Let me start my reply to these questions by referring directly to the life of Christ…

A close examination of the Gospels will reveal that Jesus spent significant time with large crowds of followers, preaching, teaching and ministering to the multitudes of physically, emotionally and spiritually afflicted. Upon even more thorough examination of the Gospels one will discover that He actually spent the majority of His three years of ministry time with the 12 disciples. These disciples were the ones, initially, that He would hand the baton to when His earthly ministry would cease and His heavenly ministry would begin. He invested in them, ate with them, equipped them, taught them, admonished them, encouraged them, led them and generally just spent time loving them. When it came to discipleship, Jesus humbly limited Himself to this inner circle of twelve. He would entrust the future of the Church into the hands of these disciples. continue reading » »
